2023 Gingerbread Contest
One of the many popular events for the young and the old at Santa Day in Fenelon Falls is the building of a Gingerbread House or creation of choice. During Santa Day on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at our Gingerbread Headquarters (Slices ‘n’ Scoops), we will be judging and putting on display several categories, from youngsters to professionals. This event is open to all ages and will be judged accordingly.
All entries are due by Friday November 24, 2023
Please call Noreen Moore at 705 879 7928 or email Noreen at noreenm585@gmail.com so arrangements can be made to deliver your entry on Friday, November 24, 2023 to the Gingerbread House and Decorating Centre at 10 Water St., Fenelon Falls.

There is no entry fee to enter.
Entries are not limited to houses: They can be a barn, a church, a castle or an airplane or any other imaginable structure.
The minimum size of construction is to be 21cm X 21cm (9X9) and displayed on a solid base.
Maximum size 60cm (24 “ long and 24 “ wide) Artificial supports may be used but ALL exteriors must be made of Gingerbread (EXCLUDING PROFESSIONAL)
Non-edible items may be included but such inclusion will mean a loss of points pro-rated to the number of non-edible items used.
PLEASE NO GLUING
Child entries must be designed, constructed and decorated solely by the child entrant.
ALL ENTRIES MUST BE MADE IN THE CURRENT CALENDER YEAR

Entries will be judged on:
1. Overall appearances
2. Originality and Creativity
3. Difficulty
4. Precision
5. Consistency of a theme (throughout the entry)
6. Lights are permitted for interior lighting.
ALL ENTRIES WILL BE APPROPRIATELY IDENTIFIED WITH THE NAME OF THE CONTRIBUTOR.
Entries are to be delivered to Slices & Scoops Fenelon Falls, (located beside the locks) Friday, November 24, 2023, between 4 & 6 pm or make arrangements for delivery.

Entries to be picked up from Slices & Scoops SUNDAY, November 26, 2023, between 12 & 1 pm unless other arrangements have been made.
All entries will be on display to the public on November 25, 2023.
Judging will take place SATURDAY NOVEMBER 25, 2023 at 9 am.

Winning entries will be prominently displayed with ribbons for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category.
1st place prize is $40
2nd place is $30
3rd place is $20
Cash prices are awarded in each category excluding PROFESSIONAL.
