A Look Back at Santa Day 2019

With the 20th Anniversary Santa Day Event behind us, we have had time to reflect on the magic and memories of this very special day. Old and young gather to enjoy free activities and family traditions and spark their spirit of the season. You can feel the joy in the air while children wait joyously for Santa, partake in holiday crafts and activities and see their favourite characters come to life. There aren't many things that families can do anymore which are truly free, and we pride ourselves on the fact that absolutely anyone can come and enjoy this day and all it has to offer. On behalf of the Santa Day committee, we would like to once again give thanks to the supporters, volunteers, community members and attendees who make this event what it is - the kick-off to the holidays in Kawartha Lakes. See you next year!

The Parade & Surprise Proposal

Two long-time parade volunteers got engaged during the Parade. From “Frozen”, Kristoff (Spencer Heurkins) proposed to Anna (Kasey Cardoni) after months of planning. Spencer met Kasey in Fenelon Falls years ago and thought the Santa Day parade would be the perfect place to pop the question.

A huge congratulations to both Spencer and Kasey on their engagement.
